Your sound design sounds too raw, as if it was rushed. Try adding detune or reverb or delays. The most common device I use to make it sound less bad is distortion (waveshaper and tubeD) and/or reverb. You could also play with the filter and EQ to add resonance. You could change the ADSR (Attack Sustain Delay Release) maybe even automate the attack and also delay if you dont have any sustain.
If you want good melody, you should really take inspiration from what music you like the best, then you can try to copy a melody from ear for a few minutes then try to make your own song from that small snippet. Some art is made around that method, its taking inspiration from other medias and transforming it.
I also really recommend experimenting with other genres, you only seem to make EDM. Try chiptune, synthwave or drum and bass, those are pretty easy to pull off.
Remember that making music is not something you should rush. You should also start moving away from checklists when making music in the future. For example "it must have... it needs to..." maybe its not good example, but in my opinion you can make more unique music that way when you are more confident. Remember experimenting is key, always ask yourself what you could change and what you dont like about the draft you are working on, ask yourself what would it sound like if i added X...
Ty for your help, really appreciate it! :D
ill try to use this advice! :)
practice
wow why didnt i think of that one
See its because of helpful ppl like you why i like audiotool
I think kurp gave a great assessment, but I think I have a few things to add. Please note that this is just my opinion.
The drums, whenever they are in your song, seem to drown out everything else. It makes them feel a little out of place. One exception is in your song D A N C E P A R T Y, where the dynamic whiplash is in tbe synths at around 1:30. Try making a song without drums to force yourself to innovate.
EDM calls for a strong focus on repetition, as it is a core part of the genre. I think you should include more variance in your melodies: I often find that those parts of your songs are my favorites.
Once again, for things like chords, experimentation is a good way to get a progession going. You could also look into some music theory sources to help you create different kinds of melodies. (I have a music theory handbooks that I use whenever I have artist's block).
If you want to make something unique, try using the random button on the heisnberg untill you get a sound you can modify to sound good. It's not efficent, but it's fun.
One last thing: try different time signatures. I know EDM lies pretty firmly in the 4:4 signature, but things like 3:4, 5:4, and 7:4 help you to become more creative.
Well, there's my two cents. I hope it helped.
(Please note that don't intend to be in any way hypocritical. I myself struggle with some of the things I mentioned)
Ty for ur feedback! I appreciate the help :)
aye werent you the one who callabed with my boi dj hay hay

Stop making songs. And spend your time making sounds. Just sounds. It's a separate skill.
Ty for advice!
