So I'm confused about how charts work. I have recently had a track that went number two, but it had more favorites. And up to this day I figured that most favorites get the #1 spot. The other track had more views but I would think that a song with more favorites and less views would be charted higher.

Charts are based on the most favourites within a week, not overall.
but look at the pop charts they were both created this week
Charts update on DayX (I think it's tuesday, might be wednesday)
If you release it on a the day before the update and get 20favs, you may chart that week. By next week, you get to 41 favs, however someone else published within the week and got 36 favs. Those 36 > 21 (which is how many you received on the second week.)
This is likely what happened.

You posted on the 20th, got 30 favs by the chart update, wherease track #1 got 31 favs before the update (in just two days). Since then, you've gained even more, but this still leaves you at #2.
