my only opinion is that you remix other people tracks and see what they done and also try experiment with other stuff that you unique in a way. That's the only i could say. Should start off with tutorials infy made. Good luck!
Just start messing around with some stuff. I know that's a little vague, but that's what I did to get started. Fool around with some of the knobs and sliders on the synths and see how they cahnge the sound. Try to program a basic pattern in one of the drum machines. Eventually you can start using samples, but don't become dependant on loops. The only thing I would advise staying away from for the time being is the TB-303; it can be a little confusing. If I'm not mistaken, there are also tutorials available via video, so if you want to go that route, you can also do that. Between all of this you'll figure it out soon enough.
I hope this helps you get started!
Right, um...
Machiniste = Drums
Kick, snare, hat = basic beats
1 kick followed by a ton of hats = trap
1 kick followed by 1 snare = generic electro beat
Generic electro beat + rides + hats + 150BPM = generic dubstep/riddim beat
samples = sound files
put samples in Machiniste
click on squares to make sound patterns
Heisenberg & Pulv. = cool sounds
Presets = pre-made cool sounds by other people
Load presets into Heisenberg & Pulv
StereoOutput = all sound goes here
Centroid, Kobalt, Minimixer = fit multiple sound wires
ALWAYS make Centroid wire go to StereoOutput
Reverb = echo
Flanger & Phaser = turns normal cool sounds into funny sounds
exciter = Gives cool sounds steroids
StereoEnhancer = I have no idea what this thing does
Chorus = makes depth or something
Gate = I have no idea what this thing does
Waveshaper = My favorite thing. Can make some pretty amazing cool sounds.
EQ = mess with cool sounds
Compressor = make sounds more powerful, sidechaining
Splitter & Merger = pretty self-explanatory
Delay = No idea
Tube = No idea, I never use it
Curve = super helpful with making EVEN COOLER sounds
Quantum = I have no idea what this thing does, I never use it
Note track = notes and automations go here
Pattern Track = used for drums, patterns go here (duh.)
BPM - how fast or slow a track goes
150 BPM is usually dubstep, Riddim, or Chiptune
140 is usually Trap(?)
128 is usually Electro or House
110 is usually Midtempo
100 is usually ambient
App button = Editor, make your track here
AT Booster = download this if you hate lag
Lag = everyone hates it
Auto-save = complete lifesaver
Piano Roll = Place notes, make melodies Phew Okay, I think that's all I know
