Maybe you guys can help?

IDK really, but some stuff you can do is use major chords at a higher octave, put your melody at a higher octave, and you melody should be heading up more than going down if you know what I mean. For more upbeat stuff a higher frequency is more happy and such but don't go too high or your ears will bleed. I hope this can help.

Also, shorten your note lengths. That can help especially with chords. If you chop up your chords into like 5 or 4 pieces it'll sound more groovy and upbeat.

strong kick drum always helps for an upbeat track and good bass line

Writing a melody and basic lyrics is always good to start an upbeat track. The piano is mainly the instrument to write an upbeat track because of the heavy emphasis on a solid and consistent baseline.

Also if you would like, you could actually record yourself playing instruments and import them into your own sample library on the Audiotool app.

dont find a beat what are you thinking? never use loops. we are too legitness for that crap. find some good drum one shots and use the machiniste, place a note track, and make a beat!
