I'm not sure if you don't understand the sense behind the division into genres, or if you deliberately sabotage them.
On the one hand, the genres should make it easy for fans of the respective music genre to find what they are looking for. On the other hand it should offer the musicians of the respective genres a place where they can be among themselves, with their own charts, their own board and so on. If these genres are now full of all sorts of inappropriate stuff, there will be a similar problem as with the radio back then: It's just not fun to hear it, because most of it isn't what you expect, or what you even like.
Please try - for the sake of you and the people who put much work into it - before you click on any genre, give it a little thought to whether it fits at all. It'll still only take you a few seconds. But those seconds will lead your music to the people who have use for it.
The way it works now doesn't make any sense at all and lets me assume, in addition to all the sample dullness, that I'm surrounded by quite limited or at least unfocused people here.

Normally I trust in the intelligence of my fellow human beings and hope that this will make it clear that the genres are not meant to be fun. When used correctly, it can only be to the advantage of each individual user.
