mixing and mastering is just proper ear training in my opinion.
making sure things aren't to loud, to low, to bass boosted, you get the point
just look at other tracks and study off of them
couldn't agree with more but I figured. might as well try and get on a track with someone who has great quality music and learn that way as a plus but I definitely do and will continue to, both by ear and opening other people's tracks.
