Hey everyone, I was considering purchasing an audio interface and recording instruments and vocals for music on the site. I'd be incredibly grateful if someone could please give me some tips on using an audio interface with a usb connection to my laptop.
How compatible is it with audiotool?
What other software do I need and for what budget?
How do I best get longer samples into the app to edit?
Is it worth it buying an XLR setup for an amateur singer?
Thanks for the answers beforehand

Or should I just get a USB mic?
Do you already have the mic? I have a zoom h1 recorder that can be used directly via USB. I usually listen to the track with headphones and record the audio with audacity. You'll have to split the audio to chunks for long recordings though.
As far as I know there's no way around that atm. Might be wrong though.
I think practically any audio interface will be compatible with Audiotool, since it runs inside your web browser, and that's the program actually producing the audio. Even if you use the booster, I don't think you'll have compatibility problems. If you want to use it for recording, you want good pre-amps in the input connectors. Focusrite is a popular brand with affordable models, Steinberg, even Behringer for budget options, but nowadays practically every audio interface comes with quality pre-amps. Thank you very much :)
Thanks
I don't have the microphone yet, but I'll get one eventually.
there isnt any way around. it was one of the results of the sample copyright issue.
