Hopefully it's not just a me thing, but do you ever just work on a song so much in one go that it becomes your only focus, and that most things that you change in the song feel as if they're natural decisions? It happens for me, but its kinda rare.

actually maybe i have i just dont remember
it kinda can go both ways for me. i can feel inspired when i am starting out. after a little while all my inspiration can become an ash heap of despair at my lack of skill. at other times i just flow into something i didn't mean to make but i love it! in a way it inspires me to keep working at getting better so i can get that high again. i can't wait until i'm able to make what i have in my head.

Man, I love "the zone". I feel like my best music is produced while I'm in it. I'd describe it as a mixture between an epiphany and creative euphoria; The only problem is that I can't trigger it voluntarily. It comes and goes as it pleases.
Sometimes I feel a strong creative burst of energy when I'm not creating something, and if I act on that feeling I almost always end up in "the zone". It's a beautiful, mysterious form of intuition.
So in a word, yes.

its definitely an amazing feeling. i dont get it much anymore because i dont have much time to sit all day long and just grind on a song im working on. usually its just work on it for a couple hours, poke around on the internet rfor a couple of hours, sleep, wake up, take a shower sometimes, get ready for work, go to work, go home and rinse and repeat. on my days off its just spent sleeping, doing mostly the same, or goin out and doin stuff and running errands.
I get the zone and it sucks because my brain just gets locked into producing the same loop for ten hours and then I try to sleep and the loop doesn't go away
