am i the only one?

just finished re-publishing a track of mine and inside the app it sounded perfectly fine and how i wanted it to be but when i listened to it outside of the app it sounded muffled.
i then went to my other previous tracks and found that even those tracks sounded more muffled.
?
it's pretty frustrating.

Mine are like that
Some tracks are louder. Others sound fuller
It's an oddity

If the mix isn't optimal, changing your listening environment can dramatically change how your track sounds. Take notes of what you think is wrong when you listen somewhere else, then go back to the Studio and fix those issues. Pay attention to the mids, as they are the range that every system will reproduce. Basically your track should sound balanced with lows and highs removed. Also, work with reference tracks. Listen to professionally produced music in the genre you're doing and see how your track compares (make sure you match the levels, as the professional track has also been mastered). Making a track sound full, balanced and powerful across different playback systems and environments is one of the most challenging aspects of mixing.

thank you for sharing this. i listened to all my tracks at the time i posted this in the same place i produced those certain songs. Although i am not the best at mixing perfectly to how i want the track to sound yet, I am mainly only having issues with the highs. Inside the app, the snares, hats, and synths sound nice and crisp how i like it but when i publish the track and listen to it, the highs that created the track to sound how i wanted it to were muffled.
(I guess i'll just have to practice on a separate draft and work with mixing of certain sounds /low, mid, high/ and hear the difference within the app and outside the app when published.)

[ i think it actually might be audiotool itself.]
well at least audiotool outside of the app. i just downloaded the track i was mainly using as a reference for this issue. When i was playing the downloaded file, i realized it sounded the same as how it did in the app so nothing's wrong there, i just think audiotool's published tracks outside of the app are more muffled and/or lower in volume than tracks inside the app.
