you guys need to stop using your alt accounts to constantly favorite your own or others tracks, you are abusing the charting material and making other artists feel less important, if your using an alt account at least use it for a music archive or another music making account, not some bot account that constantly favorites someones or your tracks to the point where the tracks get taken down, PLEASE think wisely before making an alt and giving it a purpose.
I do agree with

for being my first follower I really appreciate it
i agree with this, there is simply no point in this as you aren't getting geniune likes on your stuff plus unlike other platforms (*cough cough* Twitter *cough cough), your likes are public.
I have done this a few times. But only with one account and because something I genuinely thought was great and needed more attention (it was 1 or 2 favs). I've also faved tracks I think are great from other artists multiple times. I do agree, but I regret nothing lol.
I don't want bot favorites on my songs. I need to see my genuine stats so I can better understand what my own fans and other people enjoy listening to. If one song is significantly more popular than another, I take notes on what I did differently. I look for similarities between popular songs.
Bot spamming favorites is completely destructive of this method of research.
While I have a few alts, they are experimental and used to test different genres and styles.
If anyone happens to enjoy a song that I made, I would rather you not favorite it at all rather than favorite it multiple times across different accounts.
Thank you for bringing this to more people's attention Noah.
charting isn't a big enough deal to warrant this behavior. However the best way to combat this is through something that would take too much effort for a single user to replicate: interact with other user's tracks in a meaningful way! Discussions, advice, questions and even disagreements (so long as they're not leaning into drama, holy crap) are all what the comment sections on tracks are made for! Just like everything that makes a person a good hang in professional music, it all comes down to how you care for your community.
the way I try to fight this is to make sure I catch up on my "latest from followees" tab in music. I'm not as active as I'd like to be, but when I'm on I try to spend the time well.
I want to take responsibility for something I did that wasn’t fair. I used four alt accounts to like my own songs that I wanted to be heard, and I was rightfully called out. I’m truly sorry for this.
I did it because I wanted to be heard, but I realize now that it was the wrong approach. Everyone deserves a fair chance to be heard, and my actions were unfair to others.
I’ve been reflecting on this, and I don’t want to hide from my mistakes. Hiding won’t make me a better person, and I want to do better, for myself and for the community. I’ve deleted all those bot accounts and am committed to being authentic moving forward.
I’m not perfect, and I make mistakes, but I’m learning from this. Thank you for your understanding, and I will work hard to rebuild trust.
Again, I’m sorry, and I’ll do better from here on out.
