When you increase the zoom region bar til its full, it wont go smaller if you want it too. You have to go right click something on the timeline and press zoom region to fix it, but if you make the bar full again it still wont fix.
*Update - When you expand the timeline, while the Zoom Region Bar is fully expanded you cant drag it lower. There is a certain spot on the bar that allows you to drag it but most of it you cant drag it.

try disabling smooth scrolling here and see if that fixes it

I don't think this is a bug. If I understand the problem correctly, there's a minimum size for the timeline overview window, when it reaches the 1/128 time value.
@brthrmrk Can you please expand on this?
I think it has to do with interacting with the zoom window in the timeline overview, expanding it and reducing it, but I can't find any issues. "you cant drag it lower" maybe refers to dragging the whole time-line up and down. I'm trying all combinations of the two things but I can't find any problems.
Maybe a screenshot with some arrow pointing at the problem? Also, try double-clicking inside the zoom bar. Each double-click expands it or reduces it again.
How do I add a screenshot
As far as I know, the only way is to copy your image (screenshot) to the clipboard, then paste it on the reply field. Don't forget to add some test, otherwise it won't work.
I think I found the bug. When you resize the timeline length, the length on the timeline only gets smaller and not bigger. Right-clicking fixes it.
actually the timeline image doesn't update until you right click so it can go bigger or smaller but you have to right click to fix it.

I don't really see it as a bug. When you increase the track length (dragging the track end marker to the right), the timeline overview window just keeps the same zoom factor (that's why it gets smaller). You don't necessarily want the timeline zoom factor to change when changing the track's length.
but it's supposed to change because it's supposed to show the entire project. clearly right-clicking for it to fix is not a feature
I see your point. You'd like the timeline overview window to stay fully expanded when changing the track's length. But that would change the zoom factor. I personally like that the zoom factor stays the same when I move the track end marker. And you can simply double-click inside the overview window to expand it again, no need to right-click anything.
I don't know if it's connected to this bug, but I'm experiencing a very similar one also involving the zoom window in the timeline overview: If the right edge of the zoom window is located all the way to the right of the timeline overview and the timeline panel is expanded to full view, the right edge can't be moved anywhere else anymore. This doesn't happen when the timeline panel isn't expanded. I think this is what the update above refers to.
Yes it does lol
Can someone give me a status update on this issue?
this gif explains it pretty well.
