Create a sound that has low volume, e.g. -100 dB, and feed it into Waveshaper with default preset. Expect output to be identical to input. Instead, output is at least -82 dB as long as the input isn't silent, i.e. there is a minimum non-silent output of -82 dB. Changing the slope of the leftmost point of the Waveshaper function will change the minimum non-silent output volume.
