synthesizer is the correct spelling because we classify color as the correct spelling and not colour (colour is the british spelling)
Yeah...that doesn't make it an incorrect spelling. It's just not American. People from all over the world have contributed to the writing of the manual, which has possibly led to some inconsistent use of these different spelling variations.
