because of how insane the playback glitches have become, I can only run this nearly unusable program in incognito. I'm making a beat, and there is a connection with server issue, I think my booster has timed out (lol). Theres maybe ten tracks open w/ 4 bars worth of data on those tracks. Now its not in my unsaved, drafts, published, or anything else, is this file gone? I wouldn't use incognito if this program didn't practically require it lol

yes its gone forever.
the reason why you cant run anything on audiotool is because you have ten tracks open at once lmao do it one at a time (unless your pc is a potato hooked up to a battery & a screen).
other daws allow me to run ten tracks at once in a single project with no buffering. impossible to run even one without buffering if I'm working outside of incognito
why would you run 10 tracks at once tho
wait what? how does incognito browsing improve performance compared to regular browsing? also by "10 tracks" do you mean 10 separate projects or 10 tracks in a project?
this isn't those other DAWs though
dude i think your cookies are just scuffed try clearing them
It shouldn't matter how many tracks you have open. Only the visible one will have a performance impact.
If Incognito improves performance, you likely have an extension installed which has a negative impact on the studio's performance. Try to find out which one by disabling them one by one. I'm interested in which was was the cause.
If you didn't save your tracks to the audiotool cloud, then yes, your tracks are gone. Not saving a track is always a risk (you may loose them anytime your browser decides to clear things up). Using incognito mode is even a guarantee that this will happen (that's the purpose of this mode).
