I had this setup on fl studio which I used to play piano: Keystation 88 keyboard connected to my computer by a usb cable only, and a sustain pedal plugged into the keyboard in the appropriate jack. Don't know why, but the sustain pedal does not work with this same configuration and am wondering what I should try. Thank you.

Probably Audiotool's app doesn't react to the MIDI control change (CC) that the pedal generates. You could still assign the pedal as a controller in the app though. Try opening the MIDI setup dialogue (top bar menu Window > MIDI setup), press the pedal and see if values from it are recognised by the app.
