Sound Issue

V S D · started 2018-11-18 20:26 · updated 2018-11-22 02:15

My school computer won't let me hear a draft unless I use school wifi. All the computers in my house play the drafts but for some reason my school computer won't.

You want devs to fix your school computer? :)

I think it is obviously a problem on your side not AT, so it would only make sense to rather go through First Aid list and try to find where is the problem.

oh, see my problem is I can only hear certain parts, and its the same parts in every draft, I'm still making songs but they'll just take longer :)

maybe the computer isn't fast enough for AT.

2018-11-22 00:11 · 2018-11-22

it skips sounds to compensate.

Are other Websites able to play sound? Youtube, Soundcloud, mediafiles on Wikipedia?
What about the "Music"-Section on this page?

oh no I don't use that but Youtube and Soundcloud are, glad they didn't block this website or else I'd been feeling down everyday with nothing to motivate me, now music is my life

At least now you have something that deserves support from your school's IT :)

You might want to check if other applications are able to play sound and if all volume sliders in your system's mixer are fine. Some operating systems have a volume slider for each application. Make sure your browser is correctly set up.

But this is getting off-topic for this site. Good luck!

yeah love this website, its like I can only hear certain parts of a draft but not like melodies, don't know what it is but even my newest song I had to make with headphones lol I don't mind that much

Sounds like there's some kind of content filter installed or you're forced to use a reverse proxy that filters your traffic. This might get replaced or removed by a better mechanism, when being in your school's network.

I guess you're out of luck then. (I won't discuss circumventing the filters)
