When you select devices, midi, and automation using your mouse, a box comes up and this is what I expect.
[[Attachment:0]]However, when selecting midi clips and automations, this box does not appear.

Probably related to this one: https://www.audiotool.com/board/bug_reports/selection_texture_is Glad that someone reported it properly.
ohhh so that's what they were (probably) talking about
I redirected them here :)
Attachment 1 has a white box selecting midi, however that white box is not visible on attachment 2.
Ignore the white lines around the midi-clips and notes. I am talking about the solid white-transparent box.
I am not using booster, if that helps.
I'll have to look into this a bit later, it might be an extension issue but I am not sure.
Works fine on Chromium and Firefox unter Linux Mint.

Seems that the problem has disappeared just like the rasselblock problem.
I'm on my home system now and it's showing up now.
I could never reproduce this. Interesting that two people seemed to have this problem.
I have reproduced the problem. So what i did was open a couple of unsaved drafts and i have an issue on an old unsaved draft
I don't know for sure if it works on unsaved drafts though
Ok yes, so i've figured out the problem. I have opened two unsaved drafts (doesn't matter how old they are) and for the first draft, the selection box is there, and then for the second draft the box is not there. If i switch back to the first one it's now missing too. I don't know if this helps, but i leave the music playing as i switch.
TL;DR
Just open two drafts.
Doesn't matter unsaved or saved
Thanks for the explanation. Confirmed, I can reproduce it too. As soon as you have more than one draft open in the app, the white semi-transparent selection rectangle isn't visible anymore. Closing drafts and leaving just one open doesn't solve the problem. I never thought of trying this with more than one draft open at the same time. I wish you had mentioned this in your original report, as it is crucial to reproduce the bug. I hope that this is enough information for the devs to find a fix.
Next time I will, but at the time of writing this, I didn't know how to reproduce or how it even happened.
Fixed.
@kurpingspace2 Thanks for your investigation and making this issue reproducible!
