Samples not playing on timeline?

Anyone else having an issue using the preset samples? The pre-play for them all work, but once I get them on the timeline, nothing . . .

Yes. The regular app doesn't give me any issue with it though, only next.

Yeah it's definitely connected to an output. I can see the peaks on the timeline, yes, but the sample itself is depicted as red? That could be an indication of a problem. All the samples do the same thing though.
