It works when you select the segment first. It might be a bug, but I think the logic is to select the segment first, then use the menu. It makes sense when you want to reset several multi-selected segments in an automation region.
Correct, however if the context menu appears on right-clicking an unselected slope, the option should still perform as expected. Otherwise the option should just not appear to begin with.
Also, to visually allude to being able to select multiple slopes (like the timeline regions context menus) this option should be "Reset slope(s)"

Ah, I thought you just right click on a segment you want to reset
