recently, it has come to my attention that tracks that i have made in next have sounded a lot better in the app than they do when they have been published.
often, my tracks will click, pop and skip near the beginning, requiring me to republish tracks made in next many times before getting my desired result. this, paired with the fact that high-end appears to get cut out to some extent, makes for a mildly tedious mixing process.
i don't know about you, but personally i prefer when my daw does not have quirks like this. (though there are probably people out there who do)

i haven't modified the track since the last repub (managed to fix the issues) but the track sounds louder with a lot less highend
if i were to guess, i'd say it probably has something to do with the distortion i used but i can't say for sure
