Notification window can't be closed

I've opened a project I've been invited to and a popup notification appears "Preview Mode. Join to become a co-auhtor".
The notification doesn't have a close symbol so you only have the option to join or decline, which I both don't want to do at this point and time.
The more annoying thing is, that the notification stays open. Even when you switch to other projects.

I would expect, that I'd be able to close the popup notification.

I would have thought that "decline" was the right choice. But I'm not sure if this has any further implications.

I didn't want to do that in case you couldn't join anymore. Don't know if that's the case..

Sometimes, dialogues without a close icon can still be exited by pressing ESC on your keyboard or clicking outside of it.

@mbelow @andremichelle Can you explain how to defer an invitation correctly?
