Minimixer aux pre/post toggle on master has no effect

If there is audio sent to aux and the minimixer master level is turned down to 0%, the aux will still be audible whether it is on "pre" or "post" for the master. Proper behavior should be to have the master affect the aux send volume if "post" is selected.

I've been thinking about this. There's no need to have a pre/post switch on the master bus, because the master signal is usually never sent to the Aux bus (the Aux Level knob on the master section sets Aux return level). The pre/post switches on each input channel are enough by themselves to define channel Aux send behaviour with respect to the channel fader. For comparison, the Centroid (like every other mixer I've ever seen) follows this convention, only pre/post switches on channel strips and not on master bus. The pre/post master button is superfluous. I don't think it's a bug, but it's a design flaw.

The claim "minimixer aux pre/post toggle on master has no effect" is not true, at least at the moment (2022) and not 2018. The behavior "the 'master' [rightmost knob] affect the aux send volume [of all channels] if "post" is selected" is currently true.
However, these two rightmost level and aux-level knobs should not be thought of as "master", because the way it works right now: this rightmost "level knob" scales the "level" of previous 4 inputs in correct correspondence with the rightmost pre/post toggle. It works like a macro of the 4 previous channels. Although I have an understanding of how it works, it's hard to articulate in words...

Why it shouldn't be called "master": in no cases, pre nor post, where if you pull down the "level" knob to 0% would the sound cease immediately. This differs from the Centroid-- you pull down master level there and sounds immediately stop, even ones in the aux. Solution: Tiny Gain after minimixer.

This makes the minimixer quite an interesting device... I could imagine it being intuitively useful in certain cases.

Tangentially related:
The minimixer's channels are defaulted to pre-fader. This is the reverse of the Centroid, where the default is post-fader. Not sure if this is a "bug", but it is inconsistent with the Centroid.

In the end, this thread could be closed, because the original post’s request has been fulfilled. (At least to my understanding)

Minimixer is reported to be working as expected.
