I like to chop up and rearrange drum loops.
*Take any loop and drop it on the desktop so you get an AudioTrack.
*Right klick the AudioTrack and create a new AudioTrack,
*Chop sample in to segments.
*Copy some chops into the second audio channel in the timeline, so that you have silence (no audio regions) in between the chops.
*Then select the randomly placed chops and merge them.
The chops have weird pitch changes and glitchy sounds after merging and there is also audio at places where there weren't any audio regions.
I actually quite like the effect. It's pretty cool to generate random glitchy sounds.
But it's not exactly what I'd expect from that function! :)
Tested on Firefox Quantum 66.0.3 (64-Bit) and Chromium 73.0.3683.103 (Offizieller Build) Arch Linux (64-Bit)

Oooookay ... I had to shuffle the order of the snippets in order to reproduce that. Otherwise it sounds like the original without an issue - which I find weird as well but I guess that's how merge should work?
That's a pretty good bug report. Thank you!
