When the virtual keyboard is opened, pressing the R key will play the note F.
But if this key is held for longer, the selected Heisenberg will randomize its parameter.
The current workaround is to open the virtual keyboard, then click in a blank space on the desktop so that it's not focused when pressing "R".
However, this means that I can't test Heisenberg's F-note as I modify the synth minutely unless I click away from it every time I make a change.
In the Good o'Format:
What did you do?
Pressing and holding "R" with virtual keyboard opened while focused on Heisenberg.
What did you expect to happen?
Heisenberg playing the F note.
What happened instead?
Heisenberg playing the F note and also randomizing its parameter as long as I hold it down.

i have the exact same problem. i have spent hours editing a youtube video and speeding through the part where i randomize a million times then undo a million times. this happened like at least 20 times.
I guess he means he put a lot of work into a video that shows his randomising the Heisenberg when he thought he was just playing notes. Still, a link to such video would be useful. Also, he should have noticed the Heisenberg's sound drastically changing the first time, not after a million, or 20xmillion.
It is unfortunate that you have to deal with such difficulty. I hope this made you realize that "R" is the shortcut to randomize the parameters.
When I try this, (software keyboard open, click on Heisenberg for focus), R just plays the F note, even when held down, and Shift+R randomises values. There seems to be no conflict.
Can confirm that this happens to me as well in the exact same way
Both Shift + R and R randomizes for me.
Chrome, Win 10.
I'm on Chrome and Linux Ubuntu Studio 18.04. When the software keyboard is closed, both R and Shift+R randomise. But when the software keyboard is open and the Heisenberg has focus (click on it), R plays the note on the software keyboard and Shift+R randomises.
Why not just disable keyboard shortcuts whenever the software keyboard is open (except for CTRL + Z and other multi key shortcuts like that)? The shortcuts for Selection (keyboard number 2) and Cue ( keyboard number 3) for the desktop are disabled when the software keyboard is open, and the software keyboard already uses most of the keys needed for shortcuts.
