i assume its the sample that is causing the issue. it is a 4 minute long sample ( https://www.audiotool.com/sample/magnetic_field ), and if i remove it from the machiniste i am able to publish it

Do you get a freeze or an error message? If so, what error do you get? And at what stage does it occur? If the error happens when rendering the mixdown, it could be due to the length of the sample.
it happens during the render, during the "Downloading samples" stage, after loading for a bit, then instantly completing i get a message that says " Error: Sorry, something went wrong on our side."
It's just a guess, but maybe breaking the sample into 30 seconds chunks, if possible, might solve the problem.
i did that and it did fix the problem. however, it can still be an issue for when you are uploading vocals that you record from your microphone. that does not have a 30s limit when uploading.
i am now trying to record stuff with my guitar and synth, and it's a pain. i have a 3 minute sample that i recorded to audiotool using the live recording feature. there doesn't seem to be a way to download my sample without playing with the URL to get the source, and i would need to upload a bunch of samples for no reason.
PLS fix...
