I tried to upload a 2.7MB image a my profile picture but got an error message "413 Request Entity Too Large". I tried again with a smaller image, 700KB, which didn't throw the same error message but it didn't upload either. Eventually, after thinking for a while, the site gave a red popup error reading "something went terribly wrong :("

I have since been able to change my profile picture without error
I don't know if this is related, but at this time most user avatar images throughout the website fail to load. I get the "broken image" icon instead.
