Yup. Post a genre that you want to try and learn, and I'll post a thread on how to make it. I might even do some video tutorials in the future.

Really trying to figure out how to be able to make a more unique sounds for some heavy electro type of stuff. Something along the lines (sound wise) of Dimitri Vegas, Martin Garrix, Like Mike - Tremor or Martin Garrix - Animals. Something that has variety in the sound, high tone sounds and lower, heavier, sounds for drops and whatnot.
Just can't figure out how to quite get there.

I wonder if this topic makes any sense. It seems that requests here don't get any reaction.
If you can afford it, Deadmau5 has a full course about EDM on Masterclass. Details here: https://www.masterclass.com/classes/deadmau5-teaches-electronic-music-production
masterclass costs a bit tho

Can someone explain to me if dubstep is related to EDM in any way?
dubstep edm
edm is a pseudonym for electronic dance music
dubstep is a genre that falls under the category of edm
i don't even know if i'm using pseudonym in the right context
Acronym ;)

Anything like Delta Heavy, Madeon & Porter Robinson?
Still trying to work out this software - this is my second account lol
Generally, if you want to make a certain style, the worst thing I say you should try to do is force it, right? I mean the best thing is probably just to listen to professional/well known songs of that genre or artists who are prominent in that genre and find one you like. That way, you can get an idea of what you're shooting for.
