So that s been a long time since i use audiotool and still learning from it! I make that topic cause I want to get better understanding of mixing and especially of two tools in audiotool that I always use now : parametric eq and stereo enhancer.
First of all I don t have any sound ingenier formation or study so I may not use appropriate vocabulary.
Mixing is an art and I know I m still learning. And for now, my mixing is just from advice from others and feeling.
So I feel that when I use Parametric Eq (lets call it Eq) I try to "isolate" the sound of one synthetiser so they wont be in the same frequence, formation exemple if I want a bass sound and a kick, I will parameter both Eq at low Hz but not the same so I can have both sounds clearly (and Red light wont pop ;)). For the medium sounds (all the synths actually if they re not bass) I put Eq on medium Hz and so on for high sounds ( that would be for snares, hats, melodic synths etc). I m I doing right ?
Second part is for the stereo enhancer.
I love to use it, it seems that it brings dynamic to the sounds. But as I m saint I use it by earing what changed when I move it and I wish I could use it by knowing what I m doing ;).
So quite likely the first part I set basses on low hz, medium on medium hz and so on.
But in this case it s because i feel that when the tool is on low hz, the sound will be more "at the back" and on high hz the sound will be "in front".
I'm I wrong guys?
What s your feelings/knowledge about this?
Thank you and thanks for reading
