Chords are a topic within music theory. Usually they are easier to understand if you first learn about scales (major and minor at least) and intervals (distance between two given notes). There are tons of resources online about this. Here's an easy to follow introduction: https://www.uberchord.com/blog/music-theory-chords/

Chord is at least three notes in same scale, that are not dissonant. Simplest is chord will be take every second note from scale. In Cmaj (All white, starting with C) it will be CEG or DFB. You will quickly see pattern (2+3/3+2/2+2 gaps).

Suspended chords use two consecutive notes in their scale and aren't dissonant. You're describing triads, which are three notes stacked vertically in thirds (not necessarily every second note). But triads are just a small group of chords.

The simple way would be to look at a sheet (Search on google: G minor piano chords) and just put together chords form there, that's what I do since I'm a dum dum when it comes to that kind of stuff
