30 days, 30 tracks

Total playing time: 2:58:15

Compiling the 30 tracks I made for everyday of the month, some things become apparent.

I eventually became started to make things that were, you guessed it, absoluteley boring. In desperation I used the crap out the limiter, to get rid of the clipping so I wouldn't have to give it more thought. The end result of that, was every ambient improv thing I did sounding like the same thing over and over again. Crazy isn't it? I overused this so much that overcompression isn't even fun anymore and I'm probably gonna try to stay away from using it again.

Although there were some good ones here too, because that is bound to happen, most of this is admittedly junk.

I actually didn't want to publish any of these but my favourites because the rest of them are embarassing.

The effortless mixing

The overuse of the limiter

The overuse of my guitar samples

The overuse of the quasar

I was rarely ever creative here and it shows.

However I could not hold myself from publishing them all because I wanted myself to feel that shame in all it's glory so I can learn from this and do better

Why is it that I take more than a week to publish anything? Am I making tracks? Of course not. I am sitting it out, so when I do decide to make something, it's notable, listenable, and not junk.

I gained some knowledge from this too, although I'm too tired right now to grant it any remarks

This was something

To Ditto, who wants to listen to all of this in one go, you've made a mistake.

Good luck
