  • My question is can you just solo out one of the tracks like say the bassline and hit download the mixdown. Would that just export the so called sound that was solo'd out. Because, using Audacity, is one way to do it. You have to mess around with the settings on Audacity, but to record just like say the Bassline for me on Audiotoool, even if you try to solo out everything like the bassline, for some reason my drum machine always plays. I don't know why that is. Turning off the dots its supposed to single out the sounds. Ok well the other way around that is to go to top left selecting the headphones symbol, allowing you to literally single out each sound by hovering over its wire that hooks it up to the mixer. Now that is like the other dude said. Super tedious. You have to hit record on Audacity, then move your mouse over and hover the wire, since using multi screens you have to then click the Audiotool screen once so you can hover your mouse pointer over the wire for the sound your trying to single out then press space bar, that way you wouldn't have to use your mouse pointer to try to go hit the play button and then hover over the wire of the sound you want. . If you don't do in in that precise order, then you'll get the rest of the track in with it sometimes. SUPER TEDIOUS. If we turn off the all dots but the one we want to hear then download mixdown will it just export the one sound we left on. Or what? IF anybody reads this. I sure would like to know.

    • Yes, you can solo what you want to bounce, then download the mixdown to export that specific stem.

Using the solo button on the centroid channels is the fastest way to do it, provided everything is going through one mixer (or you know the routing you have set up).
